Why an updates hub exists before launch

Search traffic spikes on dates, early access windows, and “is it out” queries. A dedicated hub keeps those answers honest: digital day-one on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic; physical consoles on 15 October; Xbox Play Anywhere for the Microsoft storefront pair; Mac later in 2026. It also separates marketing films from systems explainers so you do not confuse a cinematic with a patch note.

Milestone recap

December 2025 — The Game Awards: CONTROL Resonant is announced as the next Control chapter starring Dylan Faden in a paranaturally ravaged Manhattan, targeting 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, and Mac.

February 2026 — State of Play: Gameplay footing for the Aberrant, Zoe de Vera’s radio presence, and open-ended Manhattan zones lands in public view.

June 2026 — State of Play / Summer Game Fest: The 24 September digital date locks, the Story trailer frames Dylan’s deployment, and Paranatural Manhattan deepens zone fantasy. Hands-on previews follow at Play Days.

August 2026: The game goes gold on 18 August. Gamescom Opening Night Live debuts the Altered State trailer. Marketing shifts from “coming 2026” to countdown mode.

September–October 2026: Digital launch 24 September; physical 15 October. Deluxe early access on PS5 begins two days prior for qualifying buyers.
