CONTROL Resonant Characters
The Fadens, the Bureau radio, and the people still fighting Manhattan's AWE.
This Characters hub gathers every major face in CONTROL Resonant before the digital launch on 24 September 2026. Remedy Entertainment’s single-player action RPG puts Dylan Faden — the Prime Candidate, former Hiss host, and Jesse’s brother — in the lead. Jesse herself is missing as Federal Bureau of Control Director, and a new field agent named Zoe de Vera becomes the voice that keeps Dylan oriented while Manhattan warps. Returning Bureau staff such as Emily Pope and Simon Arish sit on the FBC allies page. Trailer teases for Casper Darling live on their own profile so the Dark Place thread does not swallow the allies roster.
Use this hub when you want story context without opening a systems guide. Combat loadouts live under Tier List. How-to pages live under Guides. Dates and trailers live under Updates. Nothing here claims the campaign is out yet; everything is based on official trailers, State of Play footage, Summer Game Fest hands-ons, and Remedy’s own diaries.
Who matters on day one
Dylan Faden is the playable lead. After years inside the Oldest House as P6, he wakes with the Aberrant lodged in his chest and steps into an altered Manhattan. His arc is about reclaiming agency, hunting for his sister, and deciding whether the Bureau’s leash is a tool or a cage. Read his page for Prime Candidate history, Sean Durrie’s performance notes from previews, and how his melee identity differs from Jesse’s Service Weapon era.
Jesse Faden is absent as Director when Resonant opens, yet she is not erased from the story. Previews and the story trailer show her as the missing centre of gravity — the sister Dylan is deployed to find, and the Director whose empty chair forces Emily Pope into acting co-director duties. The Jesse Faden page separates confirmed sequel teases from 2019 recap so newcomers are not lost.
Zoe de Vera is the new handler. She meets Dylan over radio after he exits the House, starts suspicious, and becomes the Firewatch-style partner who knows the outside world while Dylan knows the Bureau. Remedy has said their relationship is a primary storytelling engine. She is not a second player avatar — Resonant is single-player only.
FBC allies cover Emily Pope, Simon Arish, and the Bureau machinery still trying to contain an Altered World Event that has spilled into the city. Pope’s research framing and Arish’s security grit return; the allies page explains how they fit Dylan’s mission without spoiling every briefing.
How to read these bios
Start with Dylan if you only have time for one profile. Pair Jesse next if you finished the 2019 game and need the seven-year gap clarified. Read Zoe before you dig into Getting Started, because her radio presence is the tutorial voice in preview builds. Finish with FBC allies when you care about Bureau politics, Pope’s co-director status, and why the Oldest House crew still matters once the map is Manhattan.
Same-category pages link each other on purpose. Dylan’s page points to Jesse and Zoe; Jesse’s page points back to Dylan and the allies roster; Zoe’s page links Dylan and the Bureau staff; the allies page links Zoe and Jesse. That keeps character research inside one cluster instead of dumping you into combat trees mid-bio.
Story themes without spoilers
Creative director Mikael Kasurinen has framed Resonant around identity, power, and sacrifice. Dylan was a test subject; now the Bureau needs him. The Pattern, the Hiss, and the Mold twist the city while he decides what humanity still means after hosting the Hiss. World Quests and Bounties let you explore open-ended Manhattan zones in a flexible order, but the character pages stay focused on people, not checklist farming.

What this hub will not invent
We do not invent romance endings, secret companion quests, or post-launch cast additions. Voice cast callouts stick to what Remedy and preview outlets have published. When a detail is still preview-only, the individual page says so. Cross-check trailer scenes on the trailers page if a cinematic spoils more than you want before 24 September.
