CONTROL Resonant Guides
From your first Aberrant swing to launch-week editions and PC specs.
This hub is the map for every CONTROL Resonant how-to on the wiki. The sequel is still upcoming — digital launch is 24 September 2026 — so these pages collect what Remedy, hands-on previews, and official trailers have actually shown. Use them to plan a first loadout, not to spoil a campaign that is not in players’ hands yet.
Start with Getting Started if you have never touched a Remedy game, or jump to combat if you already know Jesse Faden’s gunplay and need the melee translation. Traversal covers Reach, Shift, and Gravity Anomalies. Metro Fault is the published dungeon that unlocks Reach. The Manhattan map explains zones and Faults. Controls lists the inputs preview builds used. Resonants explains why bosses are the skill-tree, including the Central Resonant magma fight. Pre-order and system requirements answer the two questions people search this week.
What these guides assume
CONTROL Resonant is a single-player action RPG. There is no multiplayer lobby, no live-service gacha, and no bonus-code list. Remedy swapped the Service Weapon for the Aberrant, a shapeshifting melee arm that takes Primary, Secondary, and combo-ender forms. Combat abilities come from defeating Resonants — remnants of powerful people twisted by the Pattern — and you slot them in The Gap, Dylan’s mind-space, which you open by holding Down on the d-pad.
Preview length sits around two to three hours of opening Manhattan plus a later arena. Remedy estimates about 30 hours for the core story and up to 50 hours if you chase World Quests, Bounties, and collectibles. That is why this hub links builds and Aberrant forms next to the walkthroughs: the first run cannot unlock every Resonant power, so you should pick a lane.
First-hour priorities
- Survive the Oldest House exit and meet Zoe de Vera. She is the FBC radio in your ear, not a second player.
- Choose an opening Aberrant identity. Preview builds offered Flurry (twin blades, crits), Slash (scythe, crowds), and Slice (axe, backstabs). See the tier list before you spend early upgrade nodes.
- Treat dash, double jump, and hover as combat tools, not just traversal. Aerial juggles are the damage engine.
- When a Resonant dies, enter The Gap and pick one ability. You can respec later with Spec Points; you cannot hold every branch on a first save.
How the hub is organised
Walkthrough-style pages live under Guides. Character bios sit in Characters. Rankings and loadouts sit in Tier List. Dates, trailers, and gold status live in Updates. Comparison tables live in Tools. Official storefronts and socials live in Links.
If you only read four pages before launch, make them Getting Started, combat, pre-order, and Dylan Faden. Then watch the trailers so the Pattern, the Hiss, and the Mold are not three identical red blobs on day one.
What we will not invent
Button prompts that Remedy has not published, drop tables, and post-launch patch notes are marked as preview-based. When a claim comes from Summer Game Fest, State of Play, or gamescom hands-on, the page says so. Cross-check launch-day patches on the release date page after 24 September.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where should a new CONTROL Resonant player start?
Read Getting Started, then combat and pre-order. The campaign is single-player and still upcoming on 24 September 2026.
Do these guides include codes or scripts?
No. CONTROL Resonant is a premium Remedy sequel, not a Roblox experience. This hub covers combat, traversal, bosses, editions, and PC specs.
Are boss walkthroughs complete?
Not yet. Resonants summarises preview bosses, ability rewards, and The Gap choices. Full arena scripts wait until the game launches.
